should understand intermediate electronics and assembly
techniques.
The step-by-step instructions are on diymic.com. You are expected to understand and read
schematics and a circuit layout, solder, use a multi-meter etc.
However,
the circuit is rather simple and clearly marked.

Notes:
The A5500 DIY kit has two versions.
The 7-pin connectors of the PSU and on the microphone are connected differently.
The version 1 microphone has eight leads from the bottom assembly, and the version 2 microphone has ten leads.
The PCB wiring connections are different and shown in the schematics.
